| Mark A. Cadiz born in Winnipeg MB, from Montréal QC, and now based in Toronto ON, Canada. After my university studies, I decided to move to Paris France for a year which eventually turned into three years of french inquisitiveness. I picked up the language, grew a fondness for cider, and wandered the french countryside. With all that good french stuff and an ailing curiosity for photography, I intimately studied and learnt about many of the french artists, and started to discover the power of the still image. Today I use a blend of documentary visuals as a way of storytelling, and since my return to Canada I've adopted the moving image as another form of creative experimentation. I continue to learn, shoot, and work on my craft in both mediums. My current photographic interests include documenting changing cultural demographics, multi-culturalism, and street documentary. |
